What's Your Dream?

As many of you know, I've recently turned into a Disney Fan. I've tried to get all caught up with movies and even reading up on it's founder, Mr. Walt Disney. I have found my favorite Disney song to be Cinderella's A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes.

When I listen to this song, I am amazed at power it has to get me into a reflective and hopeful mindset. I'm reminded of how hard my husband and I had to believe, have faith in our Father, and not lose hope when we were trying to get pregnant. In addition to all the other dreams that my husband and I have had since then (family vacations, career, car, future family).

Then I started reading up on the story of Walt Disney. His determination, his courage, the way he kept on when he was down and out. Now we are the ones that are able to live out and step through into a world that he created for us to become young again. The kind of young that isn't contaminated by things that many of us have considered "survival mentality" or even "wisdom" such as: self-criticization, pessimism, settling, jaded, sarcastic views of ourselves and passing those onto others that still have that light in their eyes. The light of believing that they can not only dream but live those dreams out.

I don't know where this post may find you in your dream ability.

Maybe you're living it out. Maybe you've had the dream beatin' out of you by life and other's words. Maybe you've just started to see the possibilities around you and are wondering what your part is to making it a reality.

Let me tell you, if you are having a hard time and need some encouragement in your journey of being and doing what YOU were created for... Remember, there is a person that is ready, willing and able to share with your His wild, crazy, amazing, faith-building, rewarding destiny in this life. His name is Jesus Christ.

As I sit here sharing with your my little treasure of vulnerability, I personally have been on my faith walk for the last 20 years of my life and find myself wondering what He has for me to make a mark on this world... BUT there's also this security that falls on me when I just sit and realize that He is pleased that I WANT to know and that in my desire and my asking Him to show me - I only build my faith and my character.
